Imperial(ish) Arc Draft Cube

How to Draft:

  1. The Draft

    • Divide the cube into 50x 12-card randomized packs
    • Each player gets 6 packs
    • Players open one pack at a time, look at the cards, and select a card to add to their pool
    • After a player picks a card, that player passes the rest of their pack to the left
    • When a player recieves a pack from the player to their right, repeat this process; pick a card, pass to the left
    • After all cards in the first pack have been drafted, players open the second pack, pick a card, and then pass the pack to the RIGHT this time
    • Each time you open a new pack, the direction of passing flips
    • After the last pack is drafted, players will now have a pool of 72 cards in front of them
  2. The Court

    • Players now choose a Clan by selecting a personality they drafted of the Clan they wish to represent.
    • If no one selects a personality from the same clan, then everyone may pick one of the available strongholds for that clan
    • Otherwise, count up the total Personal Honor of personalities each of those players has drafted from that clan
    • For each clan, the player with the higher Personal Honor among their personalities of that clan MUST claim one of the strongholds available for that clan.
    • Other players, MAY select a remaining stronghold (if available), or may withdraw and go for the next round
    • After all bids have been accounted for, anyone who did not claim a stronghold will have another round of selecting a different personality. Players may not select personalities from Clans who have no available Strongholds
    • When all players have successfully claimed a Stronghold, proceed to the next step
  3. The Deck

    • Players are given a pre-made stack of Fate cards consisting of the following cards:

      Oath of Fealty

      Superior Tactics

      Iaijutsu Duel

      Iaijutsu Challenge

      Charge

      Contentious Terrain

      Careful Planning

      Block Supply Lines

      Light Infantry

      Spearmen

      Light Cavalry

      Look Into The Void

      No-Dachi

      Ring of The Void
    • Players then get their basic holdings:
Each of these holdings are available to everyone while supplies last.
(If suppy is more limited than demand, first pick goes to the player with the associated stronghold, if applicable)

The player who drafted Yogo Junzo's Army (if any) may choose to spread corruption. If they do, the following Corrupt holdings become available. That player may take up to 12 of the following holdings, no more than 3 of each. Then, each other player may take the rest, with first picks going to players who have the associated strongholds.
    • Players now have 72 drafted cards, a stronghold, a starter pack of 14 Fate cards, any number of basic Holdings to construct a draft deck. Draft decks must be a minimum of 30 Fate and 30 Dynasty cards, but a bit more than that seems to be a good idea.
    • After each player has constructed their deck, they must return unused basic holdings to the supply (this includes unused Corrupt holdings). If the supply of a kind of holding was empty, Other players who were seeking those holdings will have the chance to pick them up again.
